Give day with 2 logosPay It Forward Farm Participates in
Give Day Tampa Bay

On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the Pay It Forward Farm (PIFF) (Hernando/Pasco counties) participated in Give Day Tampa Bay, a 24-hour online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the Florida Next Foundation.

PIFF successfully sought donations from the community under its “Donate to Renovate so PIFF Can Educate and Motivate” campaign.

The location of the Pay It Forward Farm is a10-acre property. It is not a luxurious estate…rather, it features a number of rustic farm buildings—many of which are used as classrooms. In PIFF’s first five years, dozens of single moms have learned life-changing skills, received much needed support and have been motivated to create better lives for themselves and their families at PIFF. But, finding space for programs has often been like creating a patchwork quilt, one day in the pump house, the next day in the barn. With community help, PIFF’s goal is to transform the original house on the property into the PIFF Community Center for computer training, personal and professional development classes and a child care area can be a reality.

Give Day Tampa Bay’s midnight-to-midnight event showcases local nonprofits and makes giving easy for a first-time donor or a long-time supporter.
